CircleTheatreCo_FINAL2

Circle Theatre Company (CTC) is the theatre production class of Circle School of the Arts (CSA), and all CSA Musical Theatre Track students are members of Circle Theatre Company.  Each year, CTC students perform in two fully staged, professional quality, family-friendly productions: a Christmas musical at the end of the first semester, and our season finale musical at the end of the second semester. They also have the opportunity to showcase their talents at Arts Night, a one-night performance of acts from across our theatre department. CTC rehearses regularly on Wednesdays from 12:20-3:30pm as a part of our CSA theatre program. CTC students are also required to take a core acting class (Acting 1, 2, 3, 4) as well as at least one year of our Dance Repertory class. These core classes, which also take place on Wednesdays, give our students the skills needed for the on-stage performance part of the program.  CTC also has 4-5 outside-of-class- time rehearsals each semester on Friday evenings and Saturdays in order to accommodate the rehearsal schedule needed to produce their musicals.

CTC students also have the opportunity to serve as crew members in two to three additional performances per year, giving them the opportunity to learn valuable backstage skills as well as to mentor our younger theatre students. Many of our CTC students take advantage of these opportunities and consider them a highlight of their time in CTC!

In addition to registration fee, class fee, and performance fee, we also ask our families to participate in fundraising to cover additional production costs. Families are also expected to support the program through volunteering a minimum of 40 hours per year in a variety of ways.
