Circle offers a variety of options for parents who want to actively participate in the education of their children. Circle’s Lower School is comprised of full-day educational programs and numerous extracurricular class offerings.
Our Lower School programs have on-campus class days and home days. Students may benefit from the option of one or two days on campus in connected classroom environments. Families can choose between multiple campus locations.
K-3 Students take a page-turning adventure through the wonderful world of children’s literature! Our Explorations curriculum uses books that are specially selected to capture imagination, teach deep truths, excite innovation, and explore God’s wonderful world. Our goal is to create delight-filled, hands-on unit studies using the best in childrenʼs literature.
Classroom Experience | We launch learning in the classroom so that it can be connected and expanded at home. In the classroom, students experience group learning activities, themed unit studies, and hands-on action. Our excellent teachers create engaging learning environments and take students on weekly learning adventures.
Students are placed in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, or 3rd grade classes. Each grade level enjoys the delights of learning in a self-contained classroom with a dedicated teacher.
Academic Options | Circle’s parent-directed education model provides the opportunity to customize your child’s educational experience to best suit their learning needs. The K-3rd Program has customizable academic tracks. The Core Academic Track is designed to partner with parents by providing course lessons, assignments, and activities. The Enrichment Track is designed to partner with parents by providing classroom experiences to supplement parent developed home studies.
Students may benefit from the choice of one or two days on campus in a classroom setting. The Core and Enrichment Tracks may be combined for parents who seek the most on-campus classroom experiences for their student. The lessons and learning themes are beautifully connected between the two days on campus providing families with a well-integrated learning environment. Parent resources will be provided from both tracks.
Our 4th-6th grade students engage in learning opportunities that create the support structure of their education. The Frameworks curriculum for upper elementary students builds learning skills, prepares students for Upper School, and provides academic accountability — while maintaining home instruction as the primary source of education. We blend textbooks, literature books, online resources, map resources, and current events together with group and independent learning to create a cohesive connection between home and classroom studies.
Classroom Experience | We initiate learning in the classroom so that it can be connected and expanded at home. In the classroom, students experience an engaging learning environment complete with teacher-led topical discussions, hands-on experiments, student-created projects and presentations, group projects, and creative classroom activities to reinforce the time period of study. Students are placed in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade classes. Each grade level experiences the educational benefits of learning in a self-contained classroom with a dedicated teacher.
