Sara Shepard

Principal of Upper School

Mrs. Sara Shepard holds a B.S. in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida and is a certified chemistry teacher for grades 6-12. She has been a chemistry teacher and tutor for the past 22 years. She taught chemistry in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Seminole High School and taught honors and standard-level chemistry at Lake Brantley High School. Most recently, she taught Honors Chemistry 1 and 2 at Circle Christian School for the last four years. She has been a highly recommended tutor for high school and college chemistry students.

Mrs. Shepard is a homeschool parent of four children as well as a homeschool evaluator. She has advised many homeschool families on learning strategies, curriculum, and preparing high school transcripts. Her children have benefited from Circle’s Lower School and Upper School programs and have been active in the theatre and sports programs. Her two oldest children graduated from Circle in 2022 and 2023 and are now in college pursuing their academic and athletic dreams.

Mrs. Shepard is passionate about helping students reach their potential and be successful in college and future careers as well as developing their character and relationship with the Lord. She enjoys morning walks with her husband of 23 years, family time at the beach, sewing, reading, and attending sporting events. Mrs. Shepard is excited to begin her new role at Circle as the Upper School Director. She is looking forward to mentoring our teachers and supporting our parents and students on this journey. She loves the Circle community that has blessed her and her family. You will probably see her at many Circle sports competitions, theatre performances, and school events cheering on the students!
