Shayla has been a “Circle Mom” since 2016. She began her Circle homeschool story when her oldest daughter, Emma Grace, was entering fifth grade, and her youngest daughter, Trinity, was entering fourth grade. She has since served Circle as a teacher and Chemistry Club sponsor, in addition to volunteering with the theatre program and swim team. Shayla graduated with a Master of Accounting in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida. Prior to starting her own accounting practice, she worked for Ernst & Young as an auditor for 6 years and as a Controller and Assistant Controller for Hertz Rental Car for 5 years. She has extensive experience in assisting organizations in developing and maintaining best practices for their accounting function.
