Track & Field Season Information
The Circle Track & Field season will soon begin. With 17 different events involving running, jumping, throwing, hurdling, and relays there is something for everybody! Track and Field is open to all Circle students in grades 6-12 as well as your independent home school friends. The season opens up with the first practice on Monday, January 22 at 4:00 pm at Central Winds Park (1000 Central Winds Drive, Winter Springs) meeting in the back by the basketball court followed by practice at Showalter Track (2525 Cady Way Trail, Winter Park) on Tuesday January 23 and Thursday January 25 both at 5:00 pm. Additionally, we are hosting non-mandatory (optional) 1-hour pre-season conditioning sessions for those wanting to get a jump start. These will begin on Monday, January 8 at Central Winds Park at 4:00 pm (see more information on the attached).
We will not be having a Track and Field Information meeting this year. Instead we have prepared and attached an information sheet with general and specific information regarding the sport and upcoming season. In addition, coaches will be at each campus (Metro Campus on Thursday, January 18 and the Calvary Campus on Friday, January 19) at 3:30 pm to answer any questions and to pick up any forms of those who are participating in a Circle sport for the first time this school year (if you have already taken part in a circle sport this school year you do not need new forms). In the meantime, should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Coach Caulfield at (407) 252-1863 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to see you on the Track!
Coach Caulfield will be on campus January 18 (Metro) and January 19 (Calvary) to answer any questions and pick up forms.
