The leadership team of Circle Christian School is excited to announce that Mike Elmer has been hired as Circle’s new Director of Spiritual Formation, in addition to being hired as an Upper School Teacher. Mike’s focus, in addition to his teaching (Speech and Debate classes), will include working closely with the upper school academic team, and the executive and administrative leadership teams of the school. As Circle’s Director of Spiritual Formation, Mike will help students, athletes and artists better understand the process of spiritual formation, which is being conformed to the image of Christ for the glory of God and for the sake of others (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and Master’s of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and has successfully served in various capacities of student development for a number of years. Mike moves from the Boston area to Central Florida with his wife, Esther of 12 years and their four children.
“The addition of Mike to our team is a huge step for Circle in the development of our students on a spiritual, mental and physical level. Mike’s experiences bring him to Circle ready to engage with students and start making an immediate impact.”
“We trust Mike’s involvement and investment in the lives of our students, and even our families, will help bring about a spiritual fullness to them, just as written by the Apostle Paul, ‘So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.’ (Colossians 2:6-7)
