“Who’da Thunk?”

This last weekend our family traveled to North Carolina for a family gathering we never in our wildest dreams thought would ever happen. My 77 year-old mom was married.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The journey of our life is known by GOD our Father and we have the privilege to daily be open to HIS plans and His directions. We never thought Mom would marry again after my Dad died, but God had a sweet plan for her to live her remaining days with a wonderful Christian man that was placed next door to her in Charlotte.

Our journey of change has had times of questions and new emotions, but God’s faithfulness and His sovereignty are able to be trusted. The story He writes on each of our hearts is a story of trust and of hope. How sweet to be reminded that before the foundation of the world our lives were known and formed by God.

This weekend also included another “who’da thunk” moment when Jonathan called the family from California after the wedding to let us all know that he and Christina had eloped! The news of Jon’s marriage was met with great excitement and a strong consensus that it was a typical Jon experience.

God knows our lives. My hope and trust must come from above, as the daily circumstances can sometimes not make sense. When I turn my attention to deeply knowing Him and walking in trust that He holds my life and the life of all those I love, my life becomes an amazing journey.

Each of us has a story that GOD is writing on our lives. My prayer is that every day I would be prepared for GOD to reveal HIS plans not only in my life but also in all of those I love. Depending on the depth of my walk and my intimate relationship with HIM will be the responses of trust and hope that will spring forth.

Spend time this week deeply connecting to the Heart of the Father; HE longs to show you that He loves and cares for you as well as all you love!

Have an AWESOME week!
