The Circle Boy’s Soccer team had a busy week; playing three games in six days! It started off Tuesday evening with a tie versus The First Academy. Circle scored early in the second half when Ranger Whaley pounded the ball into the back of the net from close range after a Circle corner kick. The Centurions held TFA till the final minute when they got a late equalizer to finish 1-1.
Thursday night was a rematch against powerhouse Geneva at their home field. The game was a defensive battle, both teams enjoying spells of possession. A second half shot from Geneva took a deflection off a Circle defender and found the side netting for the only goal of the contest.
Saturday afternoon was another rematch, this time against Crooms. Circle dominated possession and set the pace for the game with quick movement and passing. Goals were scored by Andres Melich, Caleb Gill, Jackson Pearson, and a brace (2 goals) from Joseph Street. It was a great win for the team.
