Event Details

The amount of noise is our world is limitless and we are faced with a challenge. There is an abundance of voices, some we need to hear, others we do best to ignore. How do we pause the chaos in order to decipher the ones that are most important for our lives?

Men are called by many voices.  They include family, friends, and coworkers.  But we also hear the sound of adversaries and voices from our past.  We hear voices in our mind and sometimes even the voice of God.  Some speak comfort and encouragement, others belittle and demean. Some are like the siren song of Greek mythology; they allure us and call us to places that should be avoided. Learning to address the voices and the messages they contain is a skill that can be cultivated but it requires understanding and work on our part. It does not happen by accident.

Beginning in September Jim Werner will lead a series of 8 sessions for men in a small group environment. The sessions will be hosted every other week in the Werner home [Baldwin Park] on Friday mornings from 6:30-7:30am [September 8, 22, October 6, 20, November 3, 17, December 1, 15]. The group will be limited to 20 men. Because of the nature of the environment, men are asked to register only if they are able commit to attending all the sessions.

How will you respond to the voices that are calling for your attention?

To register for this environment, email Jim Werner. [There is no cost for this series.]

This event is one of the Rooted environments sponsored by Circle to help people be Rooted in truth, Refreshed in community, and Growing together.
