The Denim & Diamonds Dinner, Dance and Auction at the Country Club of Orlando on October 14, 2016 was a tremendous success. The nearly 200 attendees enjoyed an evening a great food and fun and over 150 auction items were sold to benefit Circle Christian School.
The highlight of the evening was a video presentation that features Circle students Robert and Trinity Wood, their parents Rob and Freddi and three younger siblings. The video was created by the James Madison Institute. Special thanks to Bill Mattox, David Mattox and the team at JMI for telling this inspiring story.
The fundraising goal for the event was $50,000. 70% of the funds are earmarked for STEM related enhancements for our academic programs (laptop computers and software, robotics kits, 3-D printers, classroom projectors, microscopes, and teacher training). The remainder of the funds will be designated for athletics (to expand lower school opportunities and to provide equipment and uniforms for existing teams) and the arts department to offer wider student theatre opportunities.
As of this posting we have raised $45,310.
- Denim & Diamonds – $43,000
- Giving Tuesday – $ 2,310
