Introduction to Culinary Arts students will enjoy learning how to create delicious food. From an introduction to essential food preparation to fundamental cooking techniques, skills, and terminology, this entry-level course is intended to provide students with a solid foundation through a combination of engaging direct instruction and hands-on practical applications. Whether you are a student just looking to gain knowledge and confidence in the kitchen or one who has an interest in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry, this course is specifically designed to provide an overview of the professionalism in the culinary industry and develop and enhance student knowledge as it relates to the foodservice industry through application. Emphasis will be placed on exploring different cultures and preparing their regional cuisines.  Weekly use of Circle’s eLearning Campus (online classroom component) will be required. This course serves as an elective academic middle school course. This course meets once a week.
