Actor’s Lab 1/2 is designed to build skills for the beginner and experienced actor, expand the imagination, build confidence, develop a sensitivity to the processes of creating and working with others, and strengthen the voice and body. The class will contain instruction in acting and characterization, movement and vocal production, pantomime and improvisation, theatre terminology, dramatic literature, artistic discipline, audience etiquette, and roles and careers in theatre arts.  A combination of theatre exercises and basic script work will be used. Material covered is different for each of the two years, and does not need to be taken in sequence. Students may take this class in both 7th and 8th grades. Weekly use of Circle’s eLearning Campus (online classroom component) will be required. This course serves as an elective arts middle school course. This course meets once a week.
