Can You Say . . .
Do you ever reflect on your words? How frequently do you find yourself using the following expressions?
- “Thank you”
- “I’m sorry”
- “I love you”
- “I believe in you”
This week, I have been reading a book in preparation for an upcoming Legacy Principles Dinner Club session. The title is Choosing Gratitude, by Nancy DeMoss. I have been reminded again that my words or lack thereof reflect my heart.
Today, my take away is simple; SAY IT! Practice speaking out the truth that YOU know will bring life to your soul and to others.
• If you are feeling down or discouraged, look around at ALL that you have and say, “Thank you, God for your abundant blessings.”
• If you know that you have hurt someone say, “I’m sorry.”
• As we approach Valentines Day, don’t just say, “I love you,” with your words, show it with you actions.
• And then, most important of all, tell your children, “I believe in YOU!” If you don’t, someone else will.
This week take time to stop and look around. Fully engage and practice saying these precious words from your heart. You will love the life that they will bring to you and to the person to whom you say them.
