A New Year, An Old Truth

Today, we celebrate the first day of 2012.  I love this time of year.  It causes me to pause and reflect on all that God has done in my life, my family and my work.  I have loved reviewing my 2011 journal over the last 30 days.  There have been many delights in 2011 as well as times of sadness and disappointment.  I have had one overarching thought as I have reviewed my year and it is this: God is the God of ALL things and HE is good. HE can be trusted with my life, my family and my work.

I have heard many say as they have prepared for the New Year that they are hoping for a better 2012.  My hope is not FOR better, but that I would seek to GET better in my trust, my faith, and my relationships.  I want my life to shine the light of Jesus in a dark and evil world.
