The Story Never Grows Old

Forty years ago today my family celebrated Easter morning at the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem.  My mom and dad took our family to Israel to spend 10 days traveling to the places of biblical record.  Our journey to the garden began on Good Friday when we traveled the stations of the Cross.  We walked the distance to Golgotha and my heart broke for the pain and the mocking that my Savior endured for me.

On this Easter morning my soul is once again overwhelmed with gratitude to a God who took on flesh, walked this earth for 33 years, lived a life that is an example to me, and then took all my sins upon himself, so I could be born again into HIS family.  He has given HIS life for me and by faith I have a relationship with HIM.  For me, the truths of the Easter story never grow old.

Today, I declare that Jesus Christ is My LORD and SAVIOR and I give my life now for HIM.  I am forever thankful.  How about you?

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for dying for me.
You gave Your life when you hung on that tree.
I want to walk in Your truth every day,
And follow You every step of the way, every step of the way.
